Gangnam Saju (gangnamsaju.club, “we”) is a free saju reading service. This policy explains in plain words what we collect, why, and how long we keep it. The short version: we only ask for what a reading needs, we never sell your data or send you marketing, and you can delete your reading at any time.
1. What we collect
- Your reading details: nickname (optional), gender, date of birth (solar or lunar), time of birth (optional) and place of birth (a city, or a time zone if your city isn’t listed). We store these with the chart we calculate from them.
- Email address (optional): only if you ask us to email you your reading and check the consent box.
- Technical data: your IP address and browser type (user agent) when you create a reading or ask for an email, plus the page you came from (referrer) and any campaign tags (utm) in the link you followed.
- Server logs: like every website, our servers keep technical logs for security and troubleshooting: web requests (IP address, time, page and browser) and, if you ask for an email, its delivery by our mail server (recipient address and time).
We don’t ask for your real name, phone number or postal address. Please don’t put sensitive information, such as health details, in the nickname field.
2. Why we use it
- to calculate your reading and show it on your private result page;
- to email you your reading, only when you ask and only for that;
- to prevent abuse (rate limits and protection against spam and attacks), using IP address and browser data;
- to understand overall usage, for example how many readings are made in each language, in aggregate only.
We don’t use your data for advertising or profiling, we never send marketing email, and we never sell or rent your data.
3. How long we keep it
- Your reading is kept for 365 days. After that, an automatic daily cleanup erases its personal details: nickname, birth details and place, email, IP address, browser data and the chart. Only anonymous statistics remain, such as language, beauty type and creation date.
- You can delete your reading earlier at any time (see section 5), and the same details are erased immediately.
- Our email sending log (recipient address, time and delivery result) follows the same rule.
- Server logs (web and mail) are deleted automatically after about five weeks.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use a single session cookie (sajufront), only on pages with a form, to protect those forms against forged requests (CSRF). It contains no personal details and expires when you close your browser. The browser you create a reading in also keeps that reading’s delete key in its local storage (localStorage), so when you reopen the result page later, only you see the delete link and the email form. The key holds no personal details such as your name or birth date; clearing your browser data removes it, and so does deleting the reading in that browser. If we switch on Google Analytics to count visits, Google sets its own cookies and receives standard page-view data (pages visited, device and approximate location) under Google’s privacy policy, which may involve transfer outside Korea; we look only at aggregate statistics. Our pages also load web fonts from jsDelivr and Google Fonts, which receive your IP address and browser information as part of each request. You can block cookies in your browser, but the reading form may then not work.
5. Your choices and rights
- Delete: every reading has a private delete link, on your result page and in the email if you asked for one. Deletion takes effect immediately.
- Access, correction and deletion: you can ask us at any time what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, at saju@rebeauty-mail.com. Please include your result link, because we can’t look readings up by name.
- Email: we only ever send the reading you asked for, so there’s nothing to unsubscribe from.
6. Sharing and storage
Apart from the analytics described above (if switched on), we don’t share your personal data with anyone unless the law requires it. Readings are stored on our server in the Republic of Korea, and emails are sent through our own mail server. Anyone who has the link to your result page can open it, but it’s hidden from search engines, so share it only with people you choose.
7. Security
All pages are served over HTTPS, forms are protected against forged requests and abuse, result links are long random codes, and our admin tools require a login.
8. Children
Gangnam Saju is only for people aged 14 and over. If you’re under 14, please don’t use it. If we learn that a child under 14 has entered their details, we delete that reading right away.
